Biodata

Koh Yi Ling Eileen is a 2nd year undergraduate majoring in Statistics and Applied Probability in National University Singapore. Being in the statistics field trains her to develop an analytical mind and cultivates her interest in this area.

Eileen has gained experience working in the public sector during her employment in the Ministry of Health. She has also gained an insight of the work environment and style in this sector. She enjoys working with different people and her cheerful disposition is instrumental in gaining trust of her colleagues. Besides, her decision for choosing statistics as her major was influenced at that time.

She was active in my secondary school choir as a sectional leader. This equipped her with the essential leadership skills that enhance my life in university and hopefully in the workplace hereafter. In addition, she was appointed the project director of the Welcome Tea held by the Science Computer-Based Learning Centre this year. She has since benefited greatly through the invaluable knowledge acquired from the planning process. Not only has she improved her communication skills, Eileen has also maintained high integrity in completing her tasks.

Dear Eileen,

I think that you have generally presented your biodata professionally but perhaps you can describe your personality so that people can learn more about you. :)

In addition, Tiffany has commented on my post and she thinks that the biodata should be written from a third person's point of view. Sorry for the wrong information I gave you prior to this. :p

Hi Joyce,

Thanks for suggesting the improvement! Yup, I have read her comment on your blog. It's alright, everyone learns from mistakes, that's how we can improve ourselves isn't it?=)

Hey Eileen a.k.a yellow ladybird!

HAHAHAHAH.

Isn't it hard to describe yourself in a hundred words? I'm sure there are many things that you want to reflect about yourself in the biodata.

Anyway, that's a pretty concise and informative write up about yourself! Good job on that.

=)

Hi Eileen,

I feel that your biodata is concise and have included the essential information that will differentiate your from the rest. Job well done!

It was interesting to learn about your short stint at the Ministry of Health and that it had helped you on the decision of majoring in Statistics and Applied Probility. I have also heard from you that you like the environment there and that in fact, it was representative of your dream career. Despite the long working hours, I believe you have gained an enriching experience and also a terrific insight into the life of an office lady!

As the project director of SciCBLC's welcome tea, I believed that you have gained much experience from working in a team and hence building rapport with them to enhance the team's effectiveness. This would further prepare you for the working life where many a time, projects are being carried out among a team.

Wish you all the best in clinching your dream job in the near future! =)

This is a good job, Eileen. It's concise and clear, but I feel that a few transitions are needed when you shift focus from one idea to another.

Thanks for your effort. It's very enjoyable learning more about you!

Dear Angeline,

Haha, no problem, I won't take it to heart! I realised it was just an act after that because I got to scare Xiu Wen as well during her interview! LOL! But it's fun to act stern isn't it? =P
